This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will ensure that every inbound material- from flight hardware to indirect supplies-arrives, is recorded, and flows to production with complete accuracy and traceability. You will partner closely with Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Production to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient receiving operation that enables on-time builds in a highly regulated aerospace environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on precision, accountability, and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and verify inbound shipments against purchase orders, packing lists, and bills of lading
  • Perform quantity, part number, and revision checks; identify and document damage, shortages, and overages
  • Execute ERP/WMS transactions; capture/assign lot and serial numbers, shelf-life dates, and storage locations
  • Print/apply barcodes and labels; ensure accurate identification and traceability of all materials
  • Route hardware to Incoming Quality Inspection (IQC) per inspection plans; stage/quarantine as required
  • Maintain complete receiving documentation (C of C, MTRs, calibration certs, SDS) and ensure records are retrievable
  • Manage nonconformances: initiate NCRs, segregate material, and support MRB and supplier return actions
  • Comply with ITAR/EAR controls, hazmat handling (49 CFR), ESD/FOD prevention, and all safety procedures
  • Perform put-away, transfers, kitting, and line-side delivery to support production schedules
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes safely; follow proper rigging and packaging standards
  • Collaborate with Buyers, Supplier Quality, Logistics, Planning, and Production to resolve receipt issues and expedite critical hardware
  • Support cycle counts, inventory accuracy initiatives, and 5S; track and improve dock-to-stock time and receipt accuracy
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by updating work instructions and identifying process enhancements
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of receiving/warehouse or material handling experience in a manufacturing or aerospace/defense environment
  • Proficiency with ERP/WMS receiving transactions (lot/serial capture, putaway, location control) and RF scanners
  • Ability to read and reconcile POs, packing lists, bills of lading, and supplier certifications (C of C, MTRs, calibration certs)
  • Familiarity with part numbers/revisions and basic drawings/specs; strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Experience with ESD and FOD controls; understanding of basic hazmat handling and storage practices
  • Safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks; current certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Computer skills: email, spreadsheets, label printing software; clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and work in warehouse environments (varying temperatures)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years in inventory receiving within aerospace/defense or other highly regulated industry
  • Experience routing to Incoming Quality Inspection (IQC), initiating NCRs, and supporting MRB/supplier returns
  • ERP/WMS experience with systems such as SAP, Oracle, IFS, or NetSuite; barcode/label platforms (e.g., Zebra, BarTender/NiceLabel)
  • Knowledge of 49 CFR hazmat, IATA/IMDG shipping, and chemical/SDS management; functionspecific hazmat or DOT training
  • Overhead crane/rigging experience and certifications
  • Lean/5S and continuous improvement experience; familiarity with KPIs (docktostock, receipt accuracy, NCR rate)
  • APICS/ASCM or related credentials (e.g., CLTD, CPIM) or Six Sigma Yellow Belt
  • Experience managing shelflife and temperaturecontrolled materials
Work Hours/Conditions
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and/or alternative shifts to meet schedule needs
  • Ability to don required PPE and work around powered industrial trucks and overhead lifting equipment
  • Occasional travel between local buildings/sites as needed

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
