The Facilities/Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing comprehensive maintenance and repair services at all Credit Union locations. This role supports the efficient operation, safety, and appearance of facilities and equipment through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across multiple trades. Essential Job Functions Maintenance & Repair Services (100%)
- Perform electrical repairs and troubleshoot electrical issues, including ballasts, switches, receptacles, and safety lighting
- Perform preventative maintenance, modification, and replacement of HVAC equipment
- Perform plumbing repairs and troubleshoot plumbing problems, including water heaters, faucets, flush valves, and drains
- Install, modify, and repair conduit runs
- Perform lock work, including repairing/replacing locks and changing combinations
- Perform carpentry repairs on furniture, doors, cabinets, desks, and chairs
- Perform drywall repair including re-spackling, re-texturing, and repainting walls and ceilings
- Clean ATMs and exterior areas such as sidewalks and asphalt
- Perform additional maintenance duties including carpet cleaning, light bulb replacement, and general facility repairs
- Maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment
- Ensure company vehicles are regularly cleaned and serviced
- Complete maintenance projects and communicate status to stakeholders as needed
- Assist with relocating employees, departments, and equipment
- Operate a motor vehicle to reach work destinations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- General knowledge of:
- HVAC systems
- Electrical systems and live electrical troubleshooting
- Plumbing systems
- Lock mechanisms and security hardware
- Carpentry and construction techniques
- Drywall repair and finishing
- Skilled in the use of electrically powered hand tools
- Ability to troubleshoot building electrical and mechanical systems
- General knowledge of CMMS software
- Proficient with computers, including operating systems, word processing, and internet/intranet use
- Strong verbal communication skills with employees at all levels
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to maintain a valid Nevada driver's license
- Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
- Ability to work collaboratively, accept constructive feedback, and interact professionally with coworkers and vendors
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum three (3) years of maintenance experience, including HVAC, CCTV, electrical, plumbing, lock work, drywall, and carpentry
