Position Title: Phlebotomist II Work Location: 3245 Mt Moriah Avenue, Owensboro, KY Work Arrangement: Onsite (PSC Setting) Assignment Duration: 3 months Work Schedule: 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM Monday-Friday Position Summary The Phlebotomist II is responsible for drawing blood, processing specimens, and performing lab-related duties in a Patient Service Center (PSC) environment. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, handle patients across all age groups (newborns to geriatrics), and collaborate with team members while also working independently when needed. Key Responsibilities Perform blood draws and collect specimens from patients Process specimens including handling and preparation for testing Conduct drug screens, paternity testing, and lab collections Work with patients across all age groups (newborn to geriatric) Ensure accurate handling and processing of lab samples Maintain workflow in a fast-paced PSC environment Work collaboratively with team members while also working independently as required Handle patient interactions and ensure proper service delivery Qualifications & Experience High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 2+ years of phlebotomy experience required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Experience drawing blood from all age groups (pediatrics to geriatrics) Ability to work both in a team and independently Work Environment Patient Service Center (PSC) - Medium-sized site Fast-paced environment Approximately 60-65 patients per day Team of 2 other employees Independent work required for approximately 2.5 hours Standing for most of the shift (with a 1-hour lunch break) Training First two weeks include orientation and training Vaccination & Compliance Requirements MMR T-DAP Varicella TB Hepatitis B (can be declined) Color vision required
