Job Description

Building security, also known as security monitors, are responsible for the safety and protection of a building and its occupants.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Security monitors patrol the building on foot to secure the perimeter, including gates, fences, and buildings. They also monitor surveillance equipment and respond to alarms.
* Security monitors check the physical security of the building, including fire extinguishers and other safety equipment. They also perform building and equipment inspections.
* Security monitors control access points, permitting or refusing entry, and restraining trespassers. They may also direct heavy traffic during peak hours.
* Security monitors investigate accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, and take appropriate
action. They may also detain suspects who are stealing, damaging property, or committing other crimes.
* Security monitors communicate with local enforcement or U.S. Army Police about incidents and ensure compliance with security regulations. They also educate staff on security procedures.
* Security monitors complete weekly reports that include observations, surveillance footage, and signatures.
* Record keeping: Maintaining records and reports.
* Shall ensure proper security clearances are obtained for all contractor personnel as required.
* Shall coordinate the efforts of all contractor personnel to meet assigned goals.
* Shall be responsible for adjusting operations and personnel to meet assigned goals.
* Shall maintain records for accountability and to an audit standard.
* Shall support excellence in customer service and deliver excellent customer service both to internal and external customer while having the ability to work collaboratively to build professional working
relationships with colleagues, coworkers, and customers.
* Shall identify safety concerns to Supervisor and other required stakeholders. (DOD, ARMY, OSHA, ANSI, other industry identified)
* Shall assist in maintaining accurate files and provide documentation to Government Lead when requested.
* Shall provide and assist with required monthly data to Supervisor for a monthly report/tracking matrix of all related matters.
* Shall make sure that all administrative functions/paperwork is in order relative to receipt documentation, work orders, or internal paperwork are accomplished on time and in the required format.
* Shall be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe worksite while performing or conducting job duties and be attentive to detail.
* Shall support the mission, vision, values, and goals of the US ARMY.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Minimum of (1) Year of security experience.
* High School Diploma/GED.
* Active CLASS C Driver's License.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

* Primarily Mobile; The work environment occurs primarily in office interiors and building settings.
* Will need to walk interior building sites and oversee security inspections.

Terms of Employment and Eligibility Requirements

* Must be a U.S. Citizen.
* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.
* Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.
* Must be able to successfully complete a background check.
* Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.

Rate of Pay/Benefits

Hourly Rate: $18.29
