What You'll Do:
  • Coordinates, under supervision, with the assistance of the Electrical Engineering Department, the layout and assembly of complex electronic systems in line with current state of the art technology.
  • Assists with clarification of design details, and the functional operation of all electronic circuitry, to assure that desired product operational characteristics are obtained.
  • Assembles circuitry according to engineering instructions, both written and verbal, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components.
  • Recommends changes to engineering design in order to simplify assembly and maintenance of the product in the field.
  • Conducts functional, operational, and run-in tests to evaluate the overall performance and reliability of all electronic components.
  • Installs, by hand, all electrical components on the product, runs wire and conduit, wires control panels, and other related control devices, including numerical/computer control devices using available hand and power tools and fasteners.
  • Performs tests on completed electronic systems and components to verify circuit continuity and operational reliability, using standard electrical testing instruments, amp-meter, voltmeter, oscilloscope and/or specialized test devices.
  • Repairs or adjusts, according to test results if necessary, in order to achieve desired operational characteristics according to specifications.
  • Conducts customer installations, including field repair of electronic components and/or including mechanical drive systems, when qualified to do so, based on prior training and capabilities.
  • Assist, if needed, in initial training of customer employees, in order to teach them the operational characteristics, service, maintenance and repair procedures required to maintain the product in service.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Associates Degree
  • Minimum 2 years related electronic experience required
What Sets You Apart:
  • Applies knowledge of electrical theory, principles of electrical circuitry, electrical testing procedures, engineering mathematics, physics, and related educational training to lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic devices such as drives, controls, and circuitry.
  • Must be able to work overtime.
  • Must be physically capable of occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to read and understand English
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and participate, contribute and support all team activities.
