This position is responsible for equitably and adequately selecting and pricing group health risks in accordance with corporate goals with regular managerial input. The individual will be expected to develop an understanding of actuarially developed pricing models and acquiring business judgment to achieve the corporate profit and market share objectives.

The ideal candidate will live within driving distance of the Omaha, Nebraska office.This position allows remote flexibility but will have 1 day per week in the office.

If living in one of our approved states (Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Texas) - this person may travel to our headquarters.

What you'll do:

  • Complete small and medium sized group renewals, focusing on those groups with lesser complexity and fully insured financing arrangements.
  • Complete small and medium sized group quotes, focusing on those groups with lesser complexity and fully insured financing arrangements.
  • Complete medium and large sized group renewals, focusing on those groups with greater complexity and alternative financing arrangements.
  • Complete Schedule 5500A and Contract Year Reports for fully insured groups.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or Business.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite of products, particularly Microsoft Excel.

The strongest candidates for this position will also possess:

  • Professional Certification - Successful completion of PAHM, CEBS, CLU, etc.
  • Experience in group health underwriting experience, with a thorough understanding of alternative financing arrangements.
