PRIMARY FUNCTION:
1. State the primary function or overall purpose of your position.
Function as the Electrical Sector Americas (ESA) GTM (Global Trade Management) expert at the Group level within the Americas and on-the-ground resource for import compliance matters. Develops and maintains thorough and current knowledge of international trade laws and regulations applicable to ES Americas activities. Ensures full deployment of corporate standards throughout ES Americas to all Business Units within the ESA Group. This position will contribute to the development, implementation, and governance of international trade policies to ensure full compliance with US and international regulations regarding import of materials, goods, and technology. This role will oversee Electrical Sector-Americas businesses. He/She will introduce common processes to optimize Client systems to centralize data and reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Limit yourself to 8-12 statements)
2. List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected results) that must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above.
Performs Value reconciliation using the Client GTM Master Tracker spreadsheet while considering any value adjustments (R&D, Royalties, Assists, Spot Buys, TPA"s and Cost Submission) needed for each site.
Develop and deploy throughout all Business Units within ES Americas Group applicable compliance processes and procedures in conjunction with various other functions within Client and external resources.
Support Client drawback process and procedure
* Work with Client drawback leader and approved drawback service provider and ensure
requirements are contract defined and conformed to
* Arrange drawback training for Client businesses that focuses on data and information needed for drawback and business unit recordkeeping responsibility
*Enable engagement with Client business operations to identify drawback opportunities and
assign accountability for requirements
*Ensure businesses provide all standardized reporting(sales report, bill of materials, UOM, export audit docs, etc.) in support of duty drawback claims
Partner with Client businesses and various SCM and Finance team members to provide understanding of impacts related to value reconciliation adjustments and duty drawback opportunities

DIMENSIONS:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
5. Describe any specialized knowledge or skill (e.g., technical, scientific, administrative, managerial) that your position requires.
Experience working with Client business functions and GTM network. Working knowledge of the import trade regulations covering the products produced by Client. 5-9 years trade management & trade regulations. Demonstrated leadership, outstanding analytical and communication skills, team building, and internal/external customer focus in order to complete a multitude of interdisciplinary projects.
Working knowledge of the trade regulations covering the areas of duty minimization programs such as drawback, valuation and the recordkeeping and auditing requirements to support the reductions being claimed. Familiarity with the application of rules of origin with more than one free trade agreement
* Undergraduate degree is preferred from an accredited university
* 5-7 years direct import and/or export compliance experience in a major corporation, service company, or law firm.
* Subject-matter expertise in all relevant areas of trade compliance.
* Proven ability to identify areas where process improvement is required, to develop process improvements with businesses, and to assist businesses in implementing those improvements.
* Detail oriented, possessing good analytical skills; able to anticipate problems and diffuse situations.
* A strong team member, able to shift roles as required by the group dynamic (e.g. contributor, facilitator).
* Self-motivated and able to simultaneously manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.
* Working knowledge regarding the service capabilities, roles and responsibilities of customs brokers, freight forwarders and logistics service providers.
* Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written words to all levels within the business for management, functional staff, line level employees and government officials.
* Must be adaptable and resilient to constant changes in job duties, priorities and the internal/external business and regulatory environment.

Additional skills include:
* Data analytics experience to assess potential savings opportunities
* Knowledge of ERP processes
* Fluent in English
* Undergraduate degree is preferred from an accredited university
* Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel audit formulas)
* Subject matter expert in import matters
* HTS & FTA knowledge
* Knowledge of audit and assessment procedures and evaluation of risk
