Engineering Summer Intern
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking highly motivated Engineering Summer Interns to support ongoing efforts in engineering, analysis, and program operations in Huntsville, AL.
- Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to real-world projects supporting flight testing, advanced weapons systems, and national security initiatives, while working alongside experienced professionals across government and industry.
- This is a hands-on opportunity for students who want exposure to meaningful work-not just observation.

Job Description:
Potential Areas of Work
Depending on background and interest, interns may support:
- Engineering & Technical Analysis
- Data analysis related to flight tests or system performance
- Modeling, simulation, or technical assessments
- Supporting test planning or post-test analysis
- Operations & Program Support
- Assisting with program coordination and execution activities
- Supporting scheduling, tracking, and reporting efforts
- Contributing to briefings and documentation
- Test & Integration Support
- Exposure to flight test planning and execution processes
- Supporting integration activities across teams and stakeholders
- Assisting with lessons learned and analysis efforts

Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in:
- Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, etc.)
- Mathematics, Physics, or Operations Research
- Business, Management, or related field (for operations roles)
- Must have a strong academic performance.
- Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment and take initiative.
Desired Qualifications
- Interest in national security, defense, or aerospace systems, preferred.
- Experience with tools such as Excel, MATLAB, Python, or similar, preferred.
- Exposure to engineering, analysis, or program management concepts, preferred.
- U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a security clearance preferred
Security Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Travel Requirements:
Physical Requirements:
- Remaining in a stationary position.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
- Communicating with others to exchange information
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
