This is a Fixed Term position JOB SUMMARY This paragraph summarizes the general nature, level and purpose of the job. The primary purpose of the Administrative Internship is to provide a Graduate Student with relevant field experiences, in their chosen field of study. One or more mentors will be assigned to the intern to provide instruction, guidance and to assess performance. The intern is responsible for observing the functions and processes of the assigned work unit. In addition, the intern may be given selected work assignments to reinforce the learning experience, to assess the performance levels and to provide benefit to the work unit. The intern will be responsible for completing all internship-related assignments and reports for both Stanford Medicine Children's Health and the participating educational facility. The duration and timing of the internship will be arranged with the intern and the sponsoring educational facility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The essential functions listed are typical examples of work performed by positions in this job classification. Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct. * Works across the organization to independently support identified transformational improvement programs and projects, utilizing improvement science practices. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying. Education: Bachelor Degree, required. Recent graduate or current enrollment in an accredited Master Health Administration (MHA), Master Public Health (MPH), Master Business Administration (MBA), or comparable graduate degree program, required. Experience: None required License/Certification: None required KNOWLEDGE These are the observable and measurable attributes and skills required to perform successfully the essential functions of the job and are generally demonstrated through qualifying experience, education or licensure/certification. * Ability to apply judgment and make sound decisions.
