Purpose of Position

The Manager, Pricing will be responsible for organizing and leading all cost/price proposal activities spanning all Defense related proposals.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Directs, oversees, and participates in the preparation of all price proposals ensuring consistency, accuracy and timeliness of all submissions while meeting the requirements of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and FlightSafety Service Corporation's disclosure statement.
  • Communicates with technical and operational personnel to insure accurate accumulation of pricing information.
  • Oversees the entry of pricing information into the pricing system and assists in the preparation of a complete and accurate pricing volume for submittal to FlightSafety's various customers in accordance with government regulations.
  • Specifically responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all cost proposals prior to submission to the customer.
  • Primary financial interface in fact finding, audit and negotiations of cost proposals with the customer.
  • Responsible for the preparation of the Cost volume for New Business proposals, responding to pricing Evaluation Notices (ENs), supporting face-to-face discussions and post award conference activities and presentations.
  • Provides training for new Financial/Pricing Analysts ensuring compliance with existing Policies and Procedures.
  • Coordinates and supports cost proposal, post award, estimating system, and billing audits with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA).
  • Principal point of contact for the DFARS compliant estimating system and responsible for coordinating and supporting program and system surveillance with DCAA and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).
  • Lead and coordinate multi-disciplined teams to develop competitive, high quality and timely business cases for the FSI-D portfolio
  • Develop cash flow analysis for new business opportunitiesCommunicate new business venture financial analysis outputs to senior management
  • Support monthly/quarterly management reporting packages for use in long range financial planning
  • Maintains and updates Courseware Models and Courseware and Quality Assurance Support Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs).
  • Establishes and maintains estimating system policies and procedures in coordination with new business proposal management.
  • Assists in the establishment of accounting system standards and policies and provides direction regarding standards and policies to department personnel.
  • Travels, as required.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or related field; or six years combination of education, experience, and training, in addition to what is listed below.
Minimum Experience
  • Eight to nine years of progressive development within the Financial Management field with an emphasis in general ledger, government job cost accounting, and pricing.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft office suite
  • Solid knowledge of managerial/supervisory skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows applications.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks and schedules.
  • Ability to fluently read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong FAR, particularly Part 15 understanding
