Description

Markon is seeking a skilled CNO Software Engineer to support the development of advanced cyber capabilities for mission-critical national security programs for the Fort Meade Customer. This role focuses on designing and building software solutions that operate across complex systems and networks. The engineer will work in a collaborative environment to solve technical challenges and deliver impactful capabilities in support of customer missions.



Responsibilities

    Design and develop hardware- and software-based CNO capabilities
  • Assist with the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, debugging, and documentation
  • Develop data queries for existing or proposed databases and data repositories
  • Apply knowledge of security concepts and network technologies in software development
  • Ensure adherence to software engineering standards and best practices
  • Troubleshoot and debug software systems and applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-focused solutions


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph through this Customer
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 14+ years of experience in software development/engineering, or High School diploma and 18+ years of experience
  • Experience with Python and/or C/C++ programming
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging software systems
  • Understanding of software development principles and lifecycle

Preferred

  • Experience analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
  • Experience with software analysis or reverse engineering
  • Understanding of assembly programming concepts
  • Familiarity with CNO development concepts
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks and development best practices


Salary Range

USD $190,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr.

The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
