Duties, Responsibilities & Other

KCI's Enterprise Technology organization supports the firm's core business systems while continuously improving how technology, automation, and data can streamline operations. As part of this effort, KCI is expanding functional support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, a system central to accounting, billing, and financial operations across the firm.

The Finance & Operations Functional Analyst is a handson role focused on supporting daytoday system execution, testing, documentation, and user support within Finance & Operations. This role works closely with Finance users and senior functional leadership to ensure the system operates accurately and reliably, upgrades are well tested, and improvements are implemented effectively-while gaining exposure to enterprisescale ERP governance and future optimization initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities*:

    Support the daytoday functional operation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations across assigned finance and accounting areas
  • Execute and maintain approved configurations, workflows, and functional standards under the guidance of the Senior Functional Analyst
  • Partner with Finance users to troubleshoot issues, clarify requirements, and support effective system usage
  • Document and maintain functional processes, configurations, and system behaviors related to finance and accounting workflows
  • Analyze and remediate finance-related system issues, escalating complex design or prioritization decisions as appropriate
  • Execute and coordinate upgrade and release testing, working with Finance and impacted teams to define test scope, scenarios, and readiness.
  • Define, maintain, and execute test cases in Azure DevOps (ADO), including validation steps and expected financial outcomes.
  • Manage ADO testing workflows to track test status, coverage, dependencies, and gaps across releases.
  • Coordinate with technical resources responsible for test automation (e.g., Leapwork) to support automation-ready test case development, without developing automations.
  • Validate financial reports, data outputs, and system behavior to confirm alignment with accounting practices and approved configurations.
  • Assist in defining functional and configuration-specific requirements for Finance & Operations enhancements and optimizations.
  • Support period close, audits, and other finance-critical activities by validating system behavior and addressing operational issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with ERP technical resources, Data Operations, and other functional analysts to implement approved changes and support release execution.
  • Identify and track gaps in job aids, training materials, and reference documentation resulting from functionality changes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience supporting finance, accounting, or ERP-related processes
  • Working knowledge of accounting concepts, including general ledger, billing, and financial reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot ERP system behavior, and support functional problem resolution
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to validate financial and system data
  • Ability to document processes and system behavior in a clear and structured manner, with coaching as needed
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to learn ERP configuration concepts, testing practices, and system governance standards
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment. Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.

Education and/or Work Experience Preferred:

  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or similar ERP platforms
  • Experience writing and managing test cases in Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar tools
  • Familiarity with test automation concepts and collaborating with automation engineers (Leapwork or similar), without being the automation developer
  • Prior experience supporting finance users within an ERP environment

Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Preferred:

  • Accounting or finance-related certifications (CPA, CMA, or equivalent), or progress toward certification
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (Finance or related functional area)
