Duties, Responsibilities & Other

The ERP Developer role supports KCI's Enterprise Systems portfolio, with a primary focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP and related enterprise platforms. This role plays a key part in maintaining platform stability, implementing approved enhancements, and supporting the ongoing evolution of systems that enable core business operations. The ERP Developer works closely with senior technical staff, functional and business analysts, and external partners to deliver reliable, well-documented solutions aligned with established standards. This position is intended for developers who are expanding beyond foundational execution into greater ownership, technical judgment, and independence. While the role operates within defined priorities and standards, it provides opportunities to support a broader set of enterprise platforms, contribute to configuration and documentation discipline, and grow toward senior technical responsibility over time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities*:

    Design, develop, configure, and support solutions across Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP and related enterprise platforms supported by the Enterprise Systems team.
  • Execute assigned development tasks, customizations, and fixes, following established standards and best practices under the guidance of senior technical staff.
  • Support day-to-day operational stability by investigating and remediating application issues, escalating complex technical or design decisions as appropriate.
  • Perform defined system administration and platform support activities, including environment configuration tasks, data refresh execution, and operational maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Collaborate with functional and business analysts to clarify requirements and translate them into implementable technical solutions.
  • Participate in release and deployment activities, including solution promotion, regression testing, and post-deployment validation across development, test/UAT, and production environments.
  • Execute testing activities by creating, maintaining, and running test cases to validate functionality, integrations, and fixes prior to deployment.
  • Monitor system behavior, batch jobs, and integrations, reporting anomalies or risks to senior technical staff for further assessment.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for implemented solutions, configurations, and support procedures, contributing to improved system knowledge and transparency.
  • Support resolution of reporting, analytics, and automation initiatives by delivering assigned technical work and communicating blockers or risks impacting delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate with implementation partners, vendors, and internal teams to support approved enhancements and issue resolution efforts.
  • Contribute to configuration management practices by documenting changes, environment differences, and deployment impacts as directed.]
  • Demonstrate increasing technical independence, ownership, and judgment by proactively identifying issues, proposing solutions, and taking accountability for assigned outcomes.

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on professional experience
  • 3+ years of experience developing, supporting, or configuring ERP or enterprise SaaS platforms
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CE, Project Operations, Finance & Operations) or comparable ERP systems
  • Practical experience implementing enhancements, resolving production issues, and supporting releases in a multi-environment setup
  • Ability to follow established technical standards, escalate design decisions appropriately, and collaborate effectively with senior technical and functional staff
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to document work clearly and consistently

Education and/or Work Experience Preferred:

  • Experience working alongside functional or business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Exposure to Power Platform, Dataverse, X++, or equivalent technologies, depending on platform focus
  • Experience supporting production ERP environments, including troubleshooting integrations, batch processes, or operational issues
  • Experience contributing to technical documentation, configuration records, or deployment notes * Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) or comparable tools for work tracking, testing, or documentation

Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Preferred:

  • Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals or Developer certifications (PL-200, PL-400)
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, Project Operations, or CE certifications (e.g., MB-310, MB-330)
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or equivalent cloud platform knowledg
