What You'll Do:
  • Utilizing methods used to hold and fixture work using shims, wedges, parallels, blocks, supports, chucks, and other holding devices to obtain proper alignment and to avoid the movement or breaking of tools and parts.
  • Using a variety of precision measuring instruments, inspecting in-process or finished parts to validate the above-mentioned form and feature characteristics, as well as manufacturing methods to blueprint specifications.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in a machine shop, including operating mills and lathes.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Basic knowledge of operating precision tools, machining methods, and cutting qualities of metals
  • Experience with manual and CNC operation on a variety of mills, lathes, grinders, and coordinate measuring machines.
  • 2+ years of machining experience
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Trade school technical certificate
  • Haas CNC vertical machining center
  • Bridgeport mill
  • Engine lathe
  • Surface grinder
  • Cylindrical grinder
  • Common bench grinders
  • Belt sanders.
  • Bandsaw
  • Tile saw.
  • Ultrasonic parts cleaner.
