Job Description:

Are you a student who loves breaking things down to see how they work? Our Development Tools Academic Group is looking for a curious, hands-on intern to help us build the next generation of educational hardware content.

In this role, you won't just be fetching coffee. Instead, you'll be building, coding, and documenting real-world projects that help other students and engineers learn how to use modern microcontrollers.

Position Overview

• CircuitPython Exploration: Design and code interactive projects using CircuitPython. If it blinks, moves, or senses, you'll be the one making it happen.
• Logic Design: Work with Microchip's Configurable Logic Block (CLB) on PIC microcontrollers. You'll help bridge the gap between traditional coding and hardware logic.
• Project Documentation: It's not finished until it's documented. You'll create clear, engaging content (guides, code snippets, and demos) to show others how to recreate your projects.
• Debug & Iterate: You'll learn the "fine art" of troubleshooting hardware and software until it works perfectly.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Python Basics: You don't need to be an expert, but you should be comfortable with the fundamentals of Python.
• Digital Logic Fundamentals: You should understand the basics (gates, flip-flops, or how binary works).
• A "Maker" Mindset: You enjoy building things and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty with hardware.
• Communication Skills: You can explain how something works in writing or through a demo.

What You'll Learn (No prior experience required!)

• How to develop for CircuitPython and Microchip PIC ecosystems.
• Introduction to Verilog and hardware description languages.
• Professional documentation and content creation for the tech industry.
