Staff Product Designer, Digital Video & Audio

Adobe Inc.
United States, California, San Francisco
Apr 29, 2026
The opportunity

We're looking for a Staff Product Designer to join our team building digital video and audio tools. Our mission is to help people tell stories through video, motion, and audio - supporting everyone from Hollywood professionals to emerging creators.

We're shaping the future of Premiere, our flagship video editing application. In this role, you'll help define how modern video creation evolves, working across complex workflows and pushing the boundaries of what creative tools can do.

If you're excited about designing for powerful systems, navigating ambiguity, and empowering storytellers at scale, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do
  • Drive the design vision for key areas of Premiere, shaping end-to-end experiences across complex video editing workflows

  • Define and frame ambiguous problem spaces, turning them into clear product and design directions

  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to influence product strategy and roadmap decisions

  • Lead design across large, interconnected features, ensuring cohesive experiences at scale

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and prototypers to bring ideas from concept to high-quality execution

  • Advocate for users by balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints

  • Facilitate alignment across teams and organizations, helping drive clarity and momentum in complex projects

  • Raise the quality bar by contributing to design craft, systems thinking, and design standards across the team

  • Mentor and support other designers through feedback, critique, and collaborative problem-solving

  • Explore emerging technologies, including AI, and help define how they shape the future of creative tools

What you'll bring

Must-haves:

  • Experience designing complex, system-level products or workflows, ideally in creative tools or similarly technical domains

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and independently define problems, opportunities, and approaches

  • Track record of influencing product direction and cross-functional decisions

  • Strong systems thinking and the ability to connect individual features into cohesive user experiences

  • Experience collaborating with and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple teams

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly through presentations, prototypes, or storytelling artifacts

  • Experience iterating on feedback and delivering high-quality work within evolving timelines

  • Solid foundation in visual and interaction design principles

  • Familiarity with tools such as Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and design & prototyping tools like Figma, Cursor, or similar

  • Interest in building tools that empower creators and storytellers

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience working with video, motion, or audio tools (professionally or personally)

  • Interest or experience in using AI as part of your design process

  • Experience mentoring or supporting other designers

  • Interest in fostering an inclusive and collaborative team environment

Preferred Accessibility Design Skills:

  • Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces for people with disabilities.

  • Understanding of applying WCAG conformance criteria in design, specifically testing comps, wireframes, and prototypes for accessibility standards.

  • Accessibility certifications CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or ADS from the IAAP preferred.
