Overview
The Department of Data Analytics and Information Systems in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University invites applications for a full-time Program Coordinator III to support the Analytics Solutions Center (ASC). The anticipated start date is May 2026. The ASC is a signature initiative offering high-impact, project-based learning opportunities for students through strategic partnerships with industry, government, and nonprofit organizations. The Program Coordinator will ensure consistent delivery, communication, continuity, and strategic development and growth of ASC programs and partnerships.

Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator III supports the mission of the Analytics Solutions Center by planning and executing high-quality student experiences that foster student success, industry engagement, and community building. This position manages the logistics and communications necessary to deliver professional and impactful student experiences that align with academic goals and enhance the visibility of the center. This role exercises initiative in managing program operations and contributing to decisions that impact ASC programming, partnership, and student experiences.

Specific duties include:

Program Development and Leadership
  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand and enhance ASC partnerships and programming, contributing to the strategic growth and long-term sustainability of the center.
  • Develop new program ideas, partnerships, and student experiences aligned with ASC and departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with ASC leadership to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data, feedback, and emerging needs.
  • Contribute to operational and strategic decision-making related to ASC initiatives, priorities, and resource allocation.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to ASC leadership, helping to ensure continuity, adaptability, and innovation across programs.

Event Management and Community Engagement
  • Partner with ASC faculty and staff to ensure events and trips reinforce the center's mission and align with academic and student success objectives.
  • Serve as a point of contact for guest speakers, industry partners, student participants and faculty/staff to ensure a positive overall experience.
  • Promote a welcoming and professional atmosphere at events, supporting community building and visibility for the ASC.
  • Plan, organize, and execute ASC-hosted student experiences, including events such as workshops, speaker series, networking events, student showcases, hackathons and other competitions, as well as career exploration trips.
  • Coordinate all logistics for student experiences such as scheduling, travel, reservations, catering, technology setup, materials preparation, and event clean up.
  • Track attendance, gather participant feedback, and produce post-event reports to evaluate outcomes and identify improvements.
  • Use data, feedback, and outcomes assessment to continuously refine and improve ASC programs and experiences.
  • Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and process payments and reimbursements according to university policies.

Strategic Communications
  • Cultivate and support relationships with external sponsors coordinating with the Huntsman Corporate Relations Team.
  • Create communication content about alumni, partners, and project outcomes (e.g., social media posts, press releases).
  • Coordinate and guide faculty and student teams in project coordination.
  • Serve as a key liaison between students, faculty, external partners, and university stakeholders to advance ASC initiatives.
  • Lead ASC branding, website updates, and social media strategy.
  • Create annual reports, student/partner success stories, and promotional materials.
  • Curate stories showcasing student success, partner impact, and ASC's broader value.
  • Collect data and prepare reports and update dashboards to highlight ASC impact.
  • Develop and support communications strategies to deepen engagement, attract new partners, and elevate ASC's regional and national profile.


Qualifications
Minimum:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field plus two years of progressively responsible experience in program coordination, project management, event planning, or related work; OR Master's degree in a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand and enhance ASC programming, contributing to the strategic growth and long-term sustainability of the center.
  • Take initiative in developing new program ideas, partnerships, and student experiences aligned with ASC and departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with ASC leadership to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data, feedback, and emerging needs.
  • Contribute to operational and strategic decision-making related to ASC initiatives, priorities, and resource allocation.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to ASC leadership, helping to ensure continuity, adaptability, and innovation across programs.

Preferred:
  • Experience developing or improving programs, initiatives, or student experiences, including identifying opportunities and implementing enhancements.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic planning, program assessment, or operational decision-making.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with external partners, industry stakeholders, or community organizations.
  • Experience managing communications, branding, or outreach efforts (e.g., social media, websites, reports, or marketing materials).
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to assess outcomes, inform decisions, and improve programs.
  • Experience managing budgets, tracking expenses, and working within established financial guidelines.
  • Familiarity with Utah State University systems and processes (e.g., room reservations, purchasing, travel, reimbursement).
  • Experience working with students, faculty, external partners, or in a higher education environment.
