Position Title: Research Associate II in Cytology

Position Summary:

Conduct research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experimentation to support Ventana projects.

This involves designing, executing, and interpreting experiments and applying technical expertise toward project strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and execute experimental protocols with minimal supervision, including making observations and analyzing data.

* Prepare and present technical reports, summaries, and quantitative analyses; maintain complete and accurate records.

* Troubleshoot problems and institute corrective actions.

* Work collaboratively in a team environment by providing creative solutions and input to project planning.

* Contribute to process improvement suggestions and assist in identifying patentable inventions.

* Train colleagues and monitor work to ensure quality and continuous adherence to the Quality First Time principle.

* Exercise judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for complex problems.

Qualification & Experience:

* Education: Bachelor's Degree in Science.

* Experience: 2-4 years of relevant post-college job experience.

* Technical Skills: Proficiency in a range of specialized laboratory techniques, capable of searching scientific literature, and skilled with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.

* Soft Skills: Good communication, meticulous attention to detail, coachable, and a proven ability and desire to learn.

* Preferred (Nice to Have): Experience handling cytology specimens and preparing cytology slides using the Hologic T2000 or the BD Totalys.
