TITLE: General Foreman STATUS: Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Superintendent DATE: Rev. 2/2019 ________________________________________________________________________________________ Page 1 of 2 PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing foreman and craft team members based on the project schedule and state and federal requirements. EXPECTATIONS OF ALL TEAM MEMBERS High quality, professional work product performed with initiative, productivity, a positive attitude and behavior. Team members should cooperate with others in a team environment, accept direction from supervisors, follow work rules and procedures, have punctual and consistent attendance, and accept constructive feedback. Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures B. Supervise and coordinate activities of foreman and their assigned craft workers C. Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders D. Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations E. Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge capacities of equipment and assigned personnel F. Study/analyze in schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job G. Analyze and resolve work problems H. Maintain time records I. May make cost estimate for contracts 1. Use logical step-by-step procedures in work 2. Plan work and solve problems 3. Make decisions based on measurable information 4. May operate machinery J. Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance K.
