Role Descriptions & Responsibilities The SOLIDWORKS Product Management Team is responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and development of SOLIDWORKS, a leading 3D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software used globally by engineers, designers, and manufacturers. The team plays a pivotal role in ensuring that SOLIDWORKS remains at the forefront of innovation by constantly aligning the software's capabilities with the evolving needs of users across industries The Robotics Product Management Intern supports the product management team in the development and enhancement of robotics-related software products, The intern assists in gathering market research, analyzing customer feedback, and contributing to the product development process. They will work closely with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Engineering, sales, and marketing, to ensure the product meets user needs and market demands. Some of your responsibilities will include the following: * Develop the strategic case for AI-driven robotics, including market thesis, problem definition, and go-to-market paths (Invest, Partner, Build) with capital requirements, risk assessment, and 24-month milestone plans * Partner with engineering and design teams to evaluate emerging AI tools, frameworks, and agentic workflows, recommending which to integrate into the robotics design process and quantifying their expected impact. * Design robotics subsystems including actuators, end-effectors, torso, and sensor stacks, and conduct research studies on AI-augmented design workflows, showcasing the features, capabilities, and applications of current and future products * Conduct primary and secondary research with engineering customers to identify unmet needs in AI-driven robotics design, translating insights into prioritized product requirements and feature roadmaps * Collaborate closely with R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Support to ensure the product is aligned with industry demands and customer needs Qualifications * Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. * Coursework or hands-on experience in mechatronics systems, CAD modeling, robotics, or automation is highly preferred. * Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS with experience in 3D modeling, design, and simulations * AI-native workflow fluency.
