The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: Plan, organize, coordinate and maintain daily infection control activities on an inpatient and outpatient level including patients of all ages. Cooperate with other technical/professional staff in sharing information and ideas and resolving interdisciplinary problems. Prepare reports and statistics based on regulatory requirements, system direction and on an ad hoc, ongoing or request basis. Facilitate the Infection Control Committee. Develop and maintain relevant statistical data. Act as a resource to individuals, department heads and committees. Services as a member of selected hospital committees. Identifies educational needs related to Infection Control and implements needed programs. Other duties as assigned. Maintains compliance with requirements and standards of regulatory agencies. See specific duties as appended. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc. Insure that [unit/department/division] is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations.
