Lead Mechanic

Pay: $45 - $48

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of mechanical duties to ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of equipment and vehicles. While the primary responsibilities are outlined below, additional tasks may be assigned by management as needed. Responsibilities may vary depending on the size and scope of the location and operational needs.

What You'll Do

* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel system issues

* Perform DOT/CHP Inspections and all required maintenance to ensure fleet is in compliance with DOT standards

* Must own basic set of hand tools

* Ability to perform welding and fabricating tasks

* Complete all necessary paperwork and maintenance logs accurately and on time

* Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections

* Complete overhauls, part replacements, and upgrades on equipment and vehicles

* Operate shop equipment safely and perform minor troubleshooting

* Ensure all work meets federal and state safety requirements

* Maintain a clean and safe work environment

What We're Looking For

* Proficiency with CUMMINS INSITE Diagnostic Software

* Experience with diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, and electrical diagnostics

* Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulatory compliance

* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagnostic tools

* Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking

* CDL A preferred or a willingness to obtain

* Represent the company professionally at all times

* Follow all company policies, including uniform and safety requirements

* Willingness to work overtime or adjust schedule as needed
