Job Description: Airbus Americas, Inc is looking for a Operations Integration Director to join our team based in Mobile, AL. The Director, Operations Integration Leader is a critical strategic role supporting the Operations Senior Director by ensuring seamless integration of support functions and fostering robust collaboration across the MFT. This position is paramount to the success of the operational organization, driving significant impact by ensuring support projects are effectively aligned and executed to meet operational demands. Furthermore, the role is instrumental in facilitating and supporting significant operational ramp-ups and overall organizational effectiveness, ensuring the right resources are strategically placed and aligning with the overall competency strategy to enable effective scaling and sustained performance. Your Challenges:
Supports the Operations Senior Director by integrating support functions and fostering strategic collaboration across the Multi-Functional Team (MFT) to drive overall operational excellence. Is accountable for proactive risk management, including identification via tools like ARM and ensuring the successful completion of change plans to mitigate operational risks. Drives operational efficiency and continuous improvement through the effective operation and enhancement of the business management system, ensuring strong performance across all SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) areas. Interfaces with and leverages company-driven improvement programmes to enhance operational processes and performance. Is a key enabler for driving the deployment and maturity of essential operational systems (e.g., Airbus Operating System) within the operations perimeter. Coordinates the deliverables and performance of critical support functions, ensuring their alignment with operational priorities and significant impact on the success of operational support projects. Conducts comprehensive rate readiness planning for the operational area and ensures the strategic placement of resources and competency to enable significant operational ramp-ups and meet future build demand. Serves as a key liaison with Human Resources to champion resource development strategies, including recruitment, training, and talent development aligned with future strategic requirements, ensuring the right resources and competency are available across the organization. Manages and leads a team, ensuring training efficacy and equipping operational stations with the necessary resources and competency to be successful. Identifies performance trends to develop and implement data-driven improvement initiatives focused on optimizing the department's commercial position through key SQCDP factors. Resolves complex cross-functional issues with interfacing functions (Engineering, Supply Chain, etc.) to ensure attainment of business unit build targets and facilitate smooth operational flow. Ensures effective and timely communication across the operational area and with key business unit stakeholders using established processes. Cultivates strong commitment and engagement from both the direct team and supporting functions to drive enhanced performance and adherence to standards. Acts as a delegate for the Operations Senior Director. Other Duties as Assigned
Your Boarding Pass:
A Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Quality Management or Aerospace Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 10 years' experience in aviation required, with 5 years' of experience in managing and leading in an aviation production environment. Leadership experience in deploying or Airbus Operations System and or Continuous Improvement in aviation is also required. * Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
Physical Requirements:
Onsite: 100% Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer. Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor. Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
