These programs may include Attitude & Usage (A&U), Jobs to be Done (JTBD), Market Landscape, White Space Exploration, Segmentation, Path to Purchase, Market Sizing, Brand Positioning, Brand Architecture, Growth/GTM Strategy and Thought Leadership.

The Vice President of MSU is a senior research and account management position responsible for developing an MSU team and building partnerships and relationships with internal Ipsos groups and clients. The MSU VP is financially responsible for a specific group of clients and business development based on geography, specific practice and/or sector and market demand.

Skill Set Required:



  • Strong experience with custom survey design, sampling plans and analysis
  • Experience ideally includes consumer, brand, and shopper insights and techniques
  • Ideal candidate will have experience designing research for B2B and B2C audiences alike.
  • Global research experience is preferred.
  • Some exposure to other types of research such as qualitative, global research, and use of behavioral science techniques in research
  • Strong communications skills; know how to translate complex data into easy to understand, actionable insights
  • Ability to develop strong client relationships - hearing the client need, identifying the right solution and preparing a convincing proposal - then growing that relationship over time

  • At least 10 years of experience in quantitative market research and consulting, with a deep specialization in the Tech and Media sectors.

  • Deep expertise of MSU design and research methodologies. Be able to innovate within our team and with other service lines to create cutting-edge methodologies that help drive our clients' business needs.
  • Strong written and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong business development focus that supports organization and growth strategy
  • Transformational leadership skills; leads with empathy.
  • Acts as a coach & mentor to team members
  • Helps define & support MSU culture and organizational changes
  • Demonstrates leadership externally; presents at industry conferences, writes POV's etc.. seen as a subject matter expert
  • Clear vision. Provides compelling inspiration to others and able to deliver compelling strategic insights to our internal/external clients
  • Ability to represent the needs of the business over the exclusive needs of the team. To be able to have "tough" conversations when the business and individual needs are not aligned.

In accordance with NY/CO/CA/WA law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $150,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
