POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Alutiiq Professional Consulting, LLC a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC has an opportunity for a Senior Director of Global Supply Chain. This position offers a remote opportunity.


The Global Supply Chain Sr. Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for designing, optimizing, and executing end-to-end supply chain operations in support of government contracting programs worldwide. This position oversees subcontract management, procurement, and logistics while driving innovation across Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) functions to enable scalable growth and operational excellence.


The ideal candidate is both a visionary and an operator-capable of aligning supply chain strategy with executive leadership priorities while ensuring compliance with complex federal acquisition regulations.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Strategic Leadership & Growth Enablement

    • Develop and execute a global supply chain strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives and government contracting requirements
    • Partner with executive leadership to support business development, capture efforts, and new program stand-ups
    • Identify and implement GSCM innovations that enhance agility, reduce cost, and improve performance across programs
    • Build scalable supply chain infrastructure to support rapid growth and international expansion


  • Subcontract Management

    • Lead full lifecycle subcontract administration, including sourcing, negotiation, award, compliance, and closeout
    • Ensure adherence to FAR/DFARS and other applicable regulations
    • Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships and subcontractor performance metrics
    • Mitigate risk through robust subcontracting strategies and oversight


  • Procurement & Sourcing

    • Oversee procurement operations including strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier selection
    • Drive cost efficiencies while maintaining quality, schedule, and compliance requirements
    • Implement best-in-class procurement systems, tools, and policies
    • Ensure small business and socio-economic goals are met in alignment with government requirements


  • Logistics & Operations

    • Direct global logistics strategy including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution
    • Ensure timely and compliant delivery of goods and services across domestic and international programs
    • Optimize logistics networks to improve speed, cost, and reliability
    • Manage export/import compliance, ITAR/EAR requirements, and international trade regulations


  • Compliance & Risk Management

    • Ensure all supply chain activities comply with federal, state, and international regulations
    • Develop internal controls, policies, and audit readiness processes
    • Lead responses to audits, CPSR reviews, and other government assessments
    • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks


  • Leadership & Team Development

    • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing global supply chain team
    • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
    • Establish KPIs and performance metrics aligned with organizational goal




Payrate:$160,634 to $204,808 Annually

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Qualifications & Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain leadership within the government contracting environment
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Deep knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and federal subcontracting and procurement regulations
  • Demonstrated experience managing global logistics and complex supply chain operations for both CONUS and OCONUS operations
  • Proven track record supporting company growth, capture efforts, and program execution
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:



  • CPSM, CSCP, or CFCM certification
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Oracle)
  • Experience leading CPSR audits and compliance initiatives
  • Background in defense, aerospace, or federal services contracting
