As a Lending Assistant you will assist and provide support to the Relationship Officers and the Banking Managers to achieve loan production and portfolio management goals. You will also assist with loan advances & loan payments, prepare loan files for closing to ensure accuracy and completeness. Once a file is complete, coordinate with the loan documentation group for loan documentation prep. You will review loan documents for accuracy per credit approval and assist Relationship Officers in reviewing loan closing settlement statements. Other responsibilities include taking the lead with the title company on ordering preliminary reports, endorsements, recordings and searches. Prepare the title company instruction letter as well as order, review, and process business organizational documents. You will coordinate the ordering, delivery, and review of third-party reports, including appraisals, environmental investigations, title work, UCC filings, flood searches, insurance requirements, credit reports and other reports as required. As a Lending Assistant, you will also track and provide loan processing statistics and reports as needed, set and manage loan ticklers and follow-up on post-close items, while performing internal loan file post-close audits. You will handle change-in-terms requests, collateral releases, and paid loan file processing per bank procedure and credit approval, oversee and maintain loan fee GL account for the Banking Center. As well as pay invoices for 3rd party reports and other invoices. Additionally, in this role of a Lending Assistant, you will assist in construction loan draws, ordering property inspections, and handling loan disbursements. Additionally, you will prepare cashier's check and/or wires for client when authorized and ensure interest reserve payments are being made on all construction loans within the Banking Center. Duties also include following up on post-closing, obtaining final title policy, titles, post UCC searches, insurance validation, scanning information to maintain up-to-date record keeping, while preparing and quoting loan payoffs, late fee reports in collaboration with the Relationship Officer and Banking Center Manager. It is important to maintain general knowledge of bank lending policy, standards, and documents. Lastly, you will attend and participate in meetings and training sessions as assigned. All associates are expected to maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures related to the position, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements.
