Financial Advocate - Build Relationships. Drive Results
We are looking for an experienced Financial Advocate (branch banker). Starting pay is $21.00/hour plus incentives. Financial Advocates have the opportunity to grow within the organization to the position that becomes their passion.

Your Duties:


  • Conduct consultative conversations with our members in order to cross-sell opportunities such as checking accounts, personal and auto loans, credit cards, refinances, debt consolidation loans and refer mortgage and commercial loans to the appropriate departments.
  • Able to effectively communicate information on credit union products and services and meet or exceed referral and sales goals set by the branch.
  • Able to understand and interpret credit reports in order to offer the best solutions to our members.
  • Able to efficiently process loan documents.
  • Assist with branch opening and closing procedures as needed. Support branch operations by performing administrative tasks and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings to stay informed about policies and procedures.
  • Up to 6 months of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
  • Experience in banking, retail, or direct sales environments highly preferred.



EDUCATION AND LICENSES


  • High school education or GED

Work involves personal contact with customers and others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding fairly routine matters for the purposes of giving and obtaining information or instructions, updating or referring.



OTHER SKILLS



  • Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, federal, state, and local laws, statutes, regulations, codes, and standards related to the area of responsibility is necessary. Proficiency with database software and the MS Office suite is also required.

Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
