WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

Do you enjoy variety and the opportunity to work on something different every day? Waukesha County Central Fleet is hiring a Mechanic to repair and maintain the equipment that supports critical County operations, including the Public Works, Sheriff's, and Parks departments.

This is a first-shift, Monday through Friday position, and Waukesha County provides all tools, uniforms, and reimbursements for items such as work boots and safety glasses.

Minimum Training & Experience Requirements
1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. Three (3) years of experience in the major overhaul and repair of diesel and gasoline powered vehicles and equipment.
3. Recognized post high school training directly in mechanical maintenance may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to one (1) year's work experience.
4. Valid driver's license.
5. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with airbrake endorsement within six (6) months of employment.
