Based in Liberty Lake, WA or Austin, TX, this role serves as a key finance business partner to the Customer and Marketing Experience (CME) organization-supporting Itron's global sales and corporate marketing teams within the Utilities & Energy sector. Reporting to the Senior Manager, CME Finance, this position has primary responsibility for financial partnership with North America Sales and Global Corporate Marketing.
This is a highvisibility, highimpact opportunity to drive customercentric, datadriven insights across bookings, revenue, backlog, and operating expenses (opex). The role plays a critical part in enabling authentic, accountable decisionmaking by sales and marketing leadership through indepth technical analysis, crossfunctional collaboration, and continuous process improvement in a fastpaced, innovative technology environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted, customercentric finance business partner to CME North America Sales and Global Marketing leaders, delivering insights that inform bookings, revenue, pipeline, and opex decisions.
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, and close activities for sales and marketing, ensuring accountable and accurate reporting of revenue, backlog, and expense variances.
  • Own quarterly bookings, backlog, and pipeline analysis, leveraging Salesforce and internal reporting tools to provide forwardlooking, agile financial projections.
  • Support sales operations and compensation processes, including quota setting, attainment calculations, audits, and executivelevel reporting.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models and executiveready analyses that translate data into clear narratives to support strategic decisionmaking.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Revenue, and Accounts Receivable, promoting data integrity, process alignment, and shared accountability.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in financial processes, internal controls, and Salesforce/revenue reporting hygiene to support scalable growth in the Utilities & Energy market.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Highly analytical and curious mindset, with the ability to challenge assumptions and improve processes in an authentic and constructive manner.
  • Strong capability to analyze complex financial data and present clear, compelling narratives to diverse audiences, including senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across functions to achieve KPIs, key metrics, and shared business objectives.
  • Proficiency in interrogating financial and operational systems, ideally including Salesforce, Oracle, cubebased reporting tools, and Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fastpaced environment.
  • Proven experience partnering effectively across teams, balancing competing deadlines with accountability and agility.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience supporting sales, marketing, or gotomarket organizations within a technology or SaaS environment.
  • Familiarity with revenue recognition concepts, backlog management, and pipeline analytics.
  • Exposure to the Utilities & Energy sector or complex, global B2B organizations.
  • Demonstrated interest in process optimization and automation to improve scalability and reporting efficiency.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience and may vary by location. The base salary is $96,000-155,000 annually. This position is eligible for our annual bonus program.
