Description Medical Group PracticesNursing MaineHealth Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is excited to welcome a Per Diem Registered Nurse to our collaborative outpatient team. This role offers flexibility to support clinic needs, with shifts typically scheduled Monday through Friday during daytime hours. You'll experience the energy of a fast-paced, high-volume clinic while working within a supportive, team-oriented environment. In this role, you'll be at the center of delivering exceptional musculoskeletal care to patients across the lifespan. You will support a broad range of orthopedic and sports medicine services, including Sports Medicine, Sports Surgery, Shoulder and Joint Replacement Surgery, Hand Surgery, Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery, and Orthopedic Urgent Care. Responsibilities may include clinical triage, patient education, care coordination, and pre- and post-operative support, working closely with providers, clinical staff, and families based on departmental needs. Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in ambulatory care, orthopedics, surgical services, sports medicine, or urgent care. Summary: The MH Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care role provides high quality care to patients and families calling or presenting for care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice.
