This role focuses on the installation and maintenance of industrial piping systems that are essential to facility operations. You'll apply precision metal and plastic joining techniques-particularly brazing and soldering-while working on mission-critical systems that carry specialized water, gases, and chemicals. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in High Purity (HP) systems within a cutting-edge semiconductor environment, where your attention to detail directly impacts facility safety, performance, and operational excellence. As part of JLL's Facilities Operations team, you'll contribute to maintaining world-class infrastructure that enables groundbreaking research and development.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Perform high-quality brazing and soldering on copper and brass piping to ensure leak-proof seals in industrial applications, maintaining the highest standards of system integrity.

  • Execute solvent welding and gluing techniques to assemble PVC and CPVC plastic piping systems according to specifications and safety requirements.

  • Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipe systems following technical sketches, work orders, and supervisor instructions to support facility infrastructure needs.

  • Complete diverse mechanical work orders including repairing standard drains, soldering copper pipe for general facility needs, and supporting R&D tool hook-ups.

  • Monitor and log system usage data from water and gas meters into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track performance trends and support preventive maintenance.

  • Maintain and inspect life-safety equipment, including eyewash stations, ensuring compliance with ANSI/OSHA standards and safety protocols.

  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional trades teams to support evolving facility improvements and infrastructure projects in both standard facility areas and controlled cleanroom environments.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of documented experience in industrial or commercial plumbing or pipefitting environments.

  • Demonstrated strong proficiency in brazing and soldering techniques with the ability to produce high-quality, leak-proof joints on metal piping.

  • Technical aptitude to navigate large-scale facility environments and operate heavy-duty hand and power tools safely and effectively.

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Ability to work in diverse environments including controlled cleanroom spaces requiring PPE (bunny suits) and adherence to strict contamination protocols.

  • Strong attention to detail with commitment to precision work where accuracy is paramount to system integrity and facility safety.

  • Availability to provide on-call support for critical facility systems as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior exposure to High Purity (HP) piping systems in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, laboratory, or similar controlled environments.

  • Vocational training or trade certification in industrial plumbing, pipefitting, or related mechanical trades.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel for documentation and communication.
