Position Summary
The Treasury Manager reports to the Senior Director of Treasury and plays a critical leadership role in managing the health system's treasury operations, including enterprise liquidity management, cash operations, debt administration, and capital markets activities.

This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day treasury operations that support the financial stability of the health system and its mission to deliver high-quality patient care. The Treasury Manager supports the organization's capital financing strategy, including tax-exempt and taxable debt programs used to finance major healthcare infrastructure, facility expansions, and strategic capital investments.
The role provides leadership and operational oversight for treasury functions including cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, debt compliance, treasury systems administration, and banking relationship management. The Treasury Manager also leads treasury-related audit activities and supports the organization's credit profile through coordination with rating agencies, financial advisors, and senior executive leadership.
This position contributes to long-term financial planning and enterprise liquidity strategy, ensuring the organization maintains sufficient financial resources to support clinical operations, capital investments, and strategic growth initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong knowledge of treasury operations, capital markets, and enterprise liquidity management within complex healthcare or large organizational environments
  • Experience with treasury management systems
  • Experience with Workday ERP or similar enterprise financial systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, healthcare finance principles, and capital financing structures
  • Knowledge of tax-exempt bond financing and healthcare capital funding structures preferred
  • Knowledge of enterprise cash management, banking operations, and liquidity planning
  • Technical understanding of complex debt instruments, swaps, and derivatives
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate financial concepts to senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a complex healthcare environment
  • High attention to detail and strong follow-through
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across finance, operations, and clinical leadership
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree Required with an area of study of Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in treasury, banking, corporate finance, or healthcare finance with strong focus on liquidity management, debt administration, and capital markets

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
