What you'll do:

The Configuration and Estimation Specialist will work with
our Sales, CSE and Design engineering teams to create bill of materials for
costing during the quote phase and support the roll out of ECN's and system
maintenance for production.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize configurator data, specification information, and support teams to create costed BOM's during the quote phase.
  • Support information maintenance in configurator and ERP.
  • Ensure all necessary order information is organized and stored in a centralized location and accessible for future use.
  • Work with vendors to get preliminary pricing and lead times.
  • Support processing SCO's and ECN's.
  • Create Item Masters and enter data for Bills of Materials into system.
  • Create and maintain Product Structure for the development of Bills of Materials.
  • Check all Sales Order Requests for changes before implementing into system.
  • Review all Engineering Change Notices for completeness and the impact of Bills of Materials before implementing into the system.
  • Create features and options to support Bills of Materials.
  • Support Materials Management by determining whether product is classified as a make, buy or phantom.
  • Monitor product costs and report variance during new product development through estimated BOM's.
  • Create and maintain Vehicle Identification Numbers, Federal tag information, GVWR, pre-delivery fees and base weights.
  • Create proposal for new product development design review by running a cost analysis.
  • Provide training for new and existing personnel.
What you need to be successful:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Associates or Technical Degree preferred
  • Functional Experience 3 - 7 years
  • MS Office (Excel and Word),
    ERP, Configurator Tool (Configure One preferred)
  • Cross functional
    communication
