Job Duties and Responsibilities

Other tasks and duties may be required as directed.





    • Customer Service & Delivery: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal customers, managing tool requests, coordinating check-in/check-out procedures, and ensuring prompt and efficient delivery service.
    • Shipping & Receiving: Handle the shipment of equipment to external calibration labs and receive items back into the facility. Responsibilities include verifying contents, inspecting for damage, and updating inventory records.
    • Database Management: Maintain precise and current records in the inventory management system, including tool location, status, and calibration due dates.
    • Logistics Support: Assist the Calibration Technician with equipment flow before and after calibration, including preparing documentation, labels, and necessary paperwork.
    • Equipment Identification: Identify tools due for calibration and organize them for processing, gaining familiarity with calibration schedules and procedures.
    • System Familiarity: Build foundational knowledge of calibration certificates, due dates, and basic measurement terminology to support accurate record management.
    • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Perform additional duties as assigned by the Calibration Technician or management to support lab operations and efficiency.
    • Documentation: Support the filing, organization, and achieving historical calibration records and quality documentation.
    • Lab Maintenance: Ensure the calibration lab and surrounding areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
    • Supply Management: Monitor and replenish general lab supplies, including cleaning materials, stationery, and protective equipment.
    • Organization: Demonstrated ability to stay organized and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
    • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable using inventory management software and performing accurate data entry.

    • Inventory Control: Oversee the Calibration Lab Room by logging, organizing, storing, and accurately tracking all tools, gauges, and measurement equipment.








Qualification Requirements

  • Education/Experience

    • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED);
    • At least 1 year related experience and/or training


  • Language Skills

    • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and technical specifications.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Ability to speak effectively before small groups of customers or employees.


  • Math Skills

    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume and read decimals down to the millionth of an inch.


  • Reasoning Skills

    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist.
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form


  • Computer/ Office Skills

    • Database
    • Basic windows/internet browser
    • ERP/Inventory
    • Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Power Point
    • Typing
    • Blueprint Reading
    • Mechanical Inspection - basic components
    • Material and thread finishes





Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Physical Demands

    • Frequent Activities: Standing, sitting, walking, typing, handling objects, reaching, talking/hearing, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 10 lbs

    • Occasional activities: Lifting/pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs.



    • Rare activities: Climbing/balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting/pushing/pulling heavy weights (50-100+ lbs).




  • Vision Requirements


    • Frequent: Close vision, depth perception, computer work and focus adjustments



    • Occasional: Color vision


    • Rare: Distance vision and peripheral vision


  • Work Environment


    • Frequent exposure: Moderate-to-loud noise.


    • Occasional exposure: Mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, vibration and very loud noise.

    • Rare exposure: High places, outdoor weather, electrical shock, very quiet to quiet noise.

Compensation and Benefits Offered

Actual base salary offered to the selected applicant will be based on their work location, qualifications, job related skills, relevant education, and training experience.

Base hourly rate range Minimum $21.00 - Maximum $26.00
