Performance Coatings Group (PCG) Marketing is launching Marketing Excellence, a capability-building initiative designed to create consistent, scalable, high-impact B2B marketing capabilities across PCG through shared frameworks, tools, and best-practice ways of working.

The Summer Intern - Marketing Excellence will support the build-out and execution of this program by helping coordinate key workstreams including needs assessment / competency mapping, tools & templates enablement, training library curation, workshop planning and documentation.

Additional Information:

  • This position will have 5% travel
  • This role is not remote/hybrid. This role will report to Sherwin-Williams Cleveland Global Headquarters located at 1 Sherwin Way, Cleveland, OH 44115.

1) Program Support: Competencies, Roles, and Capability Mapping

  • Build and maintain a cross-division matrix capturing role scope, competencies, and capability ratings (using workshop outputs and follow-ups).
  • Consolidate inputs into clear, executive-ready summaries that inform curriculum priorities and sequencing.

2) Curriculum Enablement: Tools, Templates, and Practical Assets

  • Help organize, quality-check, and continually curate the program's library of online self-service training options.
  • Assist in document creation that make tools easier to adopt across divisions.

3) Workshop & Working Session Execution Support

  • Support planning and execution for Marketing Excellence working sessions
  • Capture and synthesize outputs from sessions focused on org structures, what's working, challenges, and role clarity across divisions.

4) Executive-Ready Deliverables

  • Build PowerPoint and Excel deliverables that summarize progress, decisions, and next steps for leadership audiences.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must have minimum high school education
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Marketing, Business, Project Management, or Communications
  • Must be available to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) during the Summer 2026 for at least 10 weeks)
  • Must have strong Microsoft tools experience (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Have an expected graduation date in 2027
  • Have Demonstrated leadership involvement in extracurricular activities on campus or in the community
