Macy's Inc. is looking for a dynamic program leader to drive the Program Management Office for Macys Digital. This is a pivotal role that will oversee all programs that drive the customer experiences across Macys.com, Bloomingdales.com, and their associated mobile apps. The position is a central leader for the division, playing a key role in developing the multi-year product management roadmap for Macy's Digital. Strong candidates should possess a proven track record of delivery, working and influencing in a cross-functional context, and strong communication and collaboration skills. This position reports to the VP of Digital Product Management. Essential Functions:
- Manages and coaches a team of Program Managers that support the product development across Macys.com and Bloomingdales.com.
- Responsible for coordination of Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Business stakeholders for Macy's Digital programs.
- Owns upward communication of program status to Macy's executive team.
- Implements the Digital Operating Model process to ensure optimal execution of the program plan.
- Drives the annual planning process for Digital including owning the compilation of the Macy's Digital roadmap and budget.
- Develops process improvements to facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews and other program readouts.
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- BA/BS required; at least 7 years program management and/or consulting experience.
- Retail/E-commerce experience: experience in an online retail environment (direct to consumer) preferably apparel, home, or other customer focused technology products.
- Experience with the Agile and Lean development processes.
- Management experience and the ability to coach and develop talent.
- Strong verbal and written communicator with all levels of business leaders; ability to influence key business leaders in the organization.
- Exceptional negotiation skills across a myriad of audiences; can successfully advocate both business-facing and IT technology solutions among peers and to executive leadership.
- Communicates program status and risks to internal and external customers (where appropriate).
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. - Has a proven successful track record; recognized as an expert across the division, who has excellent judgment and whose projects and team have contributed significantly to the success of the division.
- Can go broad and deep in supporting a broad portfolio of programs.
- Ability to turn ambiguous subject matter into problems and actionable solutions.
- Has proven track record of defining and implementing process improvements.
- Not afraid to get hands dirty, problem solving and creative thinking a must.
