DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will help take care of the buildings and grounds at the district office by performing many types of maintenance and repair work. Your responsibilities will span a wide range of tasks, from assisting with repairs to electrical and plumbing issues to completing building projects like painting, drywall installation, and furniture construction. You will also help the IT staff by running cables and using various tools to complete daily duties. Outdoor maintenance, such as mowing, planting, and snow removal, will be part of your role, along with loading, unloading, and moving supplies around the property. Attending meetings and fire drills, checking stockpiles, and ensuring the proper functioning of tools and equipment are additional responsibilities. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the district's facilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirements:

  • This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
