As a Talent Advisory, Lead Associate supporting Peraton Labs, you will be expected to:

    Deliver distinctive recruiting performance and results in support of highly specialized research and development programs.
  • Attract and engage top-tier talent across AI/ML, data science, applied research, and advanced engineering domains, differentiating Peraton Labs in a highly competitive market.
  • Serve as a strategic talent advisor to research leaders, providing guidance on hiring strategies aligned to technical roadmaps and innovation priorities.
  • Lead the recruiting process from initial intake and workforce planning through market intelligence, talent mapping, and development of targeted search strategies based on role complexity and niche skill sets.
  • Execute full lifecycle recruiting for highly technical roles, including research scientists, AI/ML engineers, and advanced computing experts.
  • Build and cultivate diverse pipelines of specialized talent through proactive sourcing, academic partnerships, technical communities, and industry networks.
  • Assess candidates for both technical depth and research potential, ensuring alignment with mission-driven innovation and long-term program goals.
  • Monitor and analyze recruiting metrics, market trends, and competitive intelligence to continuously refine hiring strategies.
  • Maintain accurate data within the applicant tracking system and ensure compliance with all reporting standards.
  • Ensure adherence to federal and state employment laws, as well as Peraton policies, procedures, and Talent Acquisition best practices.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 3 years with MS/MA
  • 9+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • 2+ years of recruiting experience within a Labs or Research environment
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Skilled in LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Glassdoor, Boolean search, AI recruiting tools, and data analytics dashboards.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Willingness to travel to Basking Ridge, NJ as necessary.

Desired:

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience within a Labs or Research environment
  • Experience supporting cleared programs for Department of Defense customers
  • Expertise using iCIMS and proficiency using Workday

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
