Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Developer - Hybrid for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Newark, DE or Addison, TX.

This position is for an Application Developer on the Java Platform, focusing on backend API development using Spring and Spring Boot. The successful candidate will be a part of the core Development Team, working with Dev Teams, QA Teams, Scrum Teams, Line of Business, and Architecture Teams to deliver project requirements. This role requires on-site presence for a minimum of 3 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Develop REST APIs using Spring Boot, Oracle, and NoSQL
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver requirements
• Work on the containerization and deployment of existing Rest APIs
• Collaborate closely with offshore teams to deliver projects

Requirements:

• Experience in Java Application Development and Object-Oriented programming
• Experience with Spring (Framework, Spring Boot, ORM, MVC, Integration, Batch, Services)
• Experience with SOA, REST/SOAP webservices, JSON/XML
• Exposure to cloud technologies and platforms
• Experience with source control tools such as BitBucket/GIT or Subversion (SVN)
• Experience with Maven, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and JUnit
• Experience in NoSQL DB Cassandra
• Experience with at least one RDBMS: Oracle, SQL Server
• Experience in Apache Kafka or MQ messaging frameworks

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
