Job Description




As a Security Officer - Healthcare Site - Weekends in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. In a fast-paced setting, you will bring a caring, reliable approach, work as part of a team, and act with integrity while responding to daily site needs.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help support authorized access, visitor direction, and adherence to location rules and reporting protocols.
  • Assist with incident reporting, de-escalation support, and customer-focused interactions while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Vaccinations required for hospital assignment.
  • Ability to work in and/or around a hospital morgue is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital environment is required.
  • At least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field is required.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
