Description

Currently, RG is looking to hire a Database Developer / Administrator. The Database Developer / Administrator is an exempt customer-facing business professional that provides a variety of services directly related to the customer's overarching mission.

Additionally, the Database Developer / Administrator:



  • Develops efficient and optimized PL/SQL queries, views, procedures, and triggers to support business operations and process automation.
  • Ensures compliance with coding standards and implements source control procedures throughout all database projects.
  • Maintains strict adherence to customer security guidelines while continuously evaluating and strengthening database security practices.
  • Analyzes and recommends modifications to data tables, and assists in the maintenance of the data dictionary to uphold data integrity and alignment with business needs.
  • Actively participates in Team Scrum meetings, collaborating with team members to achieve project milestones and address challenges.
  • Assesses requested changes, evaluating both direct and indirect impacts to ensure successful implementation and minimal disruption.
  • Regularly reviews code performance to verify alignment with requirements and optimize efficiency.
  • Diagnoses and resolves technical issues through systematic troubleshooting and root cause analysis to maintain system reliability.
  • Engages in business analysis sessions to support new data requests and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and data utilization.
  • Maintains and enhances Oracle 19c+ database environments, optimizing database structures to improve overall performance and resource utilization.
  • Executes data imports, exports, and backups across multiple Oracle database schemas, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Conducts data acquisition, cleansing, and standardization activities, and establishes robust data repositories to ensure consistent, high-quality data sources and minimize data discrepancies.
  • Administers, maintains, develops, and implements comprehensive policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of Oracle databases, including access controls management, user permission oversight, and routine data integrity reviews.
  • Designs and implements data models and database structures in alignment with evolving business requirements, with a focus on optimizing data access methods and maintaining table integrity.
  • Translates business and technical requirements into effective and scalable data models, carrying out implementation within the Oracle environment.
  • Continuously monitors and addresses Oracle database performance issues, optimizing data storage, retrieval, and processing for maximum speed and efficiency.
  • Manages database capacity by proactively planning for and allocating sufficient resources to accommodate ongoing and anticipated data growth.
  • Oversees replication processes, data synchronization, and addresses complex challenges associated with distributed data systems, ensuring consistent and reliable data management across multiple locations or instances.


Required Skills

The Database Developer / Administrator is an experienced professional who possesses excellent customer service skills, remains current on industry trends, value teamwork, and has a wide range of interpersonal skills. They will also:



  • Understand network and application performance and security considerations when writing queries and procedures
  • Exhibit troubleshooting and root cause analysis thought processes
  • Work within a team environment and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Prioritize and work within Agile sprint time limits

Qualifications

Required Experience

To be successful in this role, all candidates must meet the below qualifications to be considered.



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, design, or a related field
  • 4+ years' experience as an Oracle PL/SQL developer
  • 8570/8140 baseline certification
  • Ability to operate effectively in remote/hybrid team environments
  • Current NACI or ability to obtain
