R&D Technician V

The Role:

Entegris is currently seeking a talented and self-motivated R&D Technician V to join its Analytical & Metrology Retention Analysis team in Billerica, MA.

This role will focus on the implementation and deployment of multiple analytical techniques to support membrane R&D and new liquid filtration and purification products development in the Advanced Purity Solution (APS) of Entegris. The Technician is expected to be working in the lab daily, supporting routine analysis using various advanced instrumentations. The daily work includes sample preparation, chemical testing and generation of lab report for internal customers. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented and an excellent team player, with practical knowledge of analytical chemistry.

What You'll Do:

• Perform retention tests using various analytical instruments, including fluorometer, ICP-MS, G-NVR, GC-MS, TOC, rocket evaporators, etc.

• Perform sample preparation using different techniques.

• Provide consistent and accurate data from analysis.

• Generate high quality data report.

• Work closely with Scientists to support sample preparation for research projects.

• Follow and document standard operating procedures for conducting required tests.

• Any other duties as assigned.

What We Seek:

• Bachelor's in chemistry or science related field with 0-2 years of industry experience;

• Practical knowledge and experience working with analytical techniques operations (fluorometer, ICP-MS and wet chemistry techniques).

• Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively (both oral and written).

• Ability to work independently following applicable training.

• Ability to operate in a fast-paced dynamic and collaborative working environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong safety mindset.

• Working independently on assigned retention tests.

• Willingness to take on new challenges to support the overall organization.

• Good communication and coordination abilities.

• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple analysis in parallel.

• Strong independent operation skills and ability to complete lab work safely.

• Compensation: $38 - $40 hourly range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
