Overview

The Pricing Specialist, Data Center Construction Services supports the JKTS sales team by developing accurate, competitive, and strategically aligned pricing for craning, rigging, and specialized warehousing services supporting large-scale data center construction projects. This role is responsible for translating complex operational, labor, equipment, logistics, and risk inputs into pricing structures that enable profitable growth while maintaining JKTS's position as a value-driven, mission-critical construction partner. The Pricing Specialist partners closely with sales, operations, estimating, and executive leadership to ensure proposals are technically sound, margin disciplined, and aligned with market conditions. Success in this role is defined by enabling the sales organization to pursue complex, multi-year opportunities with confidence, clarity, and financial rigor.



Responsibilities

REVENUE & MARKET RESPONSIBILITY:

    Support new business development and account expansion efforts for data center construction services through disciplined pricing and margin analysis.
  • Enable pursuit of complex, multi-year client relationships with annual revenue potential ranging from $500K to several million dollars.
  • Provide pricing support for opportunities involving hyperscale and colocation data center owners/operators, general contractors, and mission-critical OEMs and integrators.
  • Support long sales cycles involving early design influence, pre-construction engagement, and negotiated contracts.

Pricing & Estimating Support

  • Develop detailed pricing models for craning, rigging, and specialized warehousing services supporting data center construction projects.
  • Partner with operations, estimating, and project leadership to validate labor, equipment, logistics, schedule, and risk assumptions.
  • Ensure pricing reflects execution complexity, site constraints, safety requirements, and required margins.

Sales & Proposal Collaboration

  • Support the sales team during pursuit, proposal, and negotiation phases.
  • Translate complex cost structures into clear, client-ready pricing narratives and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in responding to RFPs, RFQs, and negotiated bid processes for data center construction support services.

Financial Discipline & Risk Management

  • Maintain pricing standards and governance aligned with enterprise margin and risk expectations.
  • Identify pricing risks, assumptions, and escalation points requiring leadership review.
  • Track awarded versus estimated performance to support continuous pricing and estimating improvement.

Market Insight & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor market pricing trends, cost drivers, and competitive dynamics within the data center construction ecosystem.
  • Contribute to the development of standardized pricing tools, templates, and best practices.
  • Provide feedback to leadership on pricing strategies that support long-term growth and scalability.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in pricing, estimating, or financial analysis for construction, rigging, craning, logistics, or heavy industrial services.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to evaluate cost drivers, margins, and risk scenarios.
  • Experience supporting complex, project-based sales with extended sales cycles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with sales leadership, operations teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present pricing concepts clearly.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, construction management, business, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in pricing, estimating, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of data center construction phasing, commissioning timelines, or mission-critical environments.
