Job Description:

This Hardware Engineer role provides an opportunity to apply foundational electrical engineering knowledge while supporting the design, development, and testing of hardware systems in a collaborative engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of electrical circuits and embedded systems.
  • Support schematic creation, PCB layout reviews, and documentation updates.
  • Perform basic electrical calculations, simulations, and analysis
  • Conduct laboratory testing, data collection, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
  • Support product validation, verification, and compliance testing.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, manufacturing, and software engineers.
  • Follow engineering standards, best practices, safety procedures, and quality guidelines.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Fundamental knowledge of electrical theory, circuit analysis, and electronics.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
  • Basic understanding of CAD or ECAD tools (Altium, PADS, DXPEDITION or similar).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in the field of atomic clocks, positioning navigation and timing or RF synthesis.
  • Exposure to embedded systems, power systems, controls, or electronics manufacturing.
  • Basic programming or scripting experience (e.g. MATLAB, Python or similar).
  • Basic experience in Hardware Description Languages (e.g. VHDL, Verilog).
  • Knowledge of industry standards (IEEE, NEC, IEC).

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $70,304 - $143,000.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
