Manager, NPI Materials

The Global Operations Group brings information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing together to drive the engine of our global business operations. Lam's Materials Manager manages a team of Materials Program and Project Managers through all stages of product development, from R&D to volume manufacturing, to ensure PDR (product development and release) deliverables are completed with high quality and within program timelines. You'll work in a cross-functional team environment within a matrix organization with internal customers, including highlevel executives.

You are the point of contact for all escalations from the Product Group to Supply Chain and the liaison between Engineering Product Management and Supply Chain functional organizations. The Materials Manager hires, manages, and develops Materials Program and Project Managers for NPI programs. This role is responsible for the organizational and individual development of all direct reports within Lam's performance management program.

Materials Program Manager prescribed responsibilities as outlined in Lam's design process:

• Develop costreduction roadmaps to meet productcost targets.
• Work with Supply Chain to develop sourcing strategies and plans to meet cost and leadtime targets.
• Transition to highvolume deliverables (Pilot to High Volume).
• Supplier rampreadiness assessments, criticalparts management, leadtime reduction, and mitigation plans.
• Projectservices management.
  Manage and lead the team to resolve material shortages and enable newpart introduction for Pilot builds.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required, with 4-6 years of supervisory experience.
• Six years of programmanagement experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience directly managing others.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing methods and commodities related to cost structures.
• Supplychain knowledge for critical commodities related to sourcing decisions and cost strategies.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, strategic thinking, and attention to detail for daytoday tactical execution.
• Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills are required.
• Semiconductor industry and Dep/Etch equipment product knowledge are beneficial.
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 20% (domestic and international).

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
