*Job Title: Event Coordinator**Job Description*The Event Coordinator role is designed to support the event team with a diverse range of event needs. This includes administrative tasks before, during, and after events, as well as onsite support to ensure a successful experience for all guests. The role involves leading and coordinating logistics for both on-campus and off-campus events.
*Responsibilities* * Provide administrative support for events, including RSVP tracking, reporting, name badge preparation, and event packing. * Assist with onsite event support, including guest registration check-in, greeting, vendor management, and event setup and breakdown. * Plan and execute special events by leading and coordinating logistics, managing vendor relationships, and creating event plans and schedules. * Collaborate with event owners and hosts on guest lists, venue selection, catering, parking, and other logistics. * Ensure event management software is accurate and current by inputting, tracking, and managing events. * Lead or assist in the evaluation of each event to ensure goals and objectives are met. *Essential Skills* * Event planning, management, and coordination. * Ability to manage and prioritize multiple significant, deadline-sensitive projects simultaneously. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to work under pressure and exercise good judgment. * Excellent attention to detail and process management skills. * Resourcefulness and ability to take initiative. * Compassionate and culturally responsive approach. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Minimum five years of experience managing events, with a preference for experience in higher education, non-profit, or fundraising environments. * Familiarity with Webex or other video conferencing platforms, Smartsheet, and SocialTables. * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. *Why Work Here?*This role offers the possibility of transitioning from contract to permanent hire, along with excellent benefits. Events can take place on campus or in local hotels and event spaces. Weekly office presence is expected for at least one day, with the option to work in a modern, three-year-old office more frequently if preferred. The dress code is business casual in the office and business professional at events. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with some events occurring at night and on weekends. *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
