The Alerts Platform team is a small, senior group of engineers building and operating a real time stream processing platform that transforms billions of telemetry events into actionable insights for customers running mission critical systems. Positioned at the core of the Digital Experience Assurance platform, we detect and surface anomalies in seconds so organizations can resolve issues before users are impacted. The team operates with high ownership and autonomy, partnering closely with product and infrastructure teams to solve complex distributed systems challenges at internet scale. Your ImpactIn this role, you will own the design and delivery of critical components within a real-time data platform that processes billions of events daily under strict SLAs. You will build and operate high-performance microservices powering core customer workflows, taking end-to-end responsibility from architecture through production. You will enhance anomaly detection quality by refining detection logic and tuning signal thresholds to reduce noise and improve accuracy for customers. You will strengthen system reliability and scalability through production ownership, incident leadership, and systemic improvements. As a senior engineer, you will help shape technical direction through design reviews and mentorship, delivering resilient systems that proactively surface and resolve customer issues. For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
