Acara Solutions is seeking a Furnace Engineer for our client in Hopewell Junction, NY.

  • Salary: $114,000 - $193,700 + bonus
  • Type: Direct Hire
  • Location: Fully onsite
  • Relocation: Available

Overview:
Support and improve furnace processes used in 300mm silicon wafer manufacturing for automotive and consumer applications. Work cross-functionally with process, equipment, and integration teams in a 24/7 production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Own furnace processes and equipment performance (ASM, TEL, Bruce)
  • Drive improvements to yield, cost, and throughput
  • Design and execute experiments to optimize processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in real time
  • Use data analysis and SPC to support decision-making
  • Support daily production and lot disposition activities
  • Identify and resolve equipment performance shifts

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical field
  • 7+ years of experience in semiconductor processing or similar industry
  • Hands-on experience with furnace equipment (ASM, TEL, and/or Bruce)
  • Experience using data analysis tools (Excel or JMP: formulas, pivots, charts)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Experience with FMEA or risk analysis methods
  • Experience applying SPC methodologies in manufacturing
  • Strong technical presentation skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving in high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Self-directed and results-oriented work style
