WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Develop project schedules in Microsoft Projects that comply with customer needs and internal department capability.

  • Coordinate project activities and meetings.

  • Closely monitor project progress throughout the project cycle to ensure on-time delivery and budget attainment.

  • Communicate with customers to resolve project and warranty issues. Maintain documentation related to the issue

  • Work with internal departments to resolve project issues and warranty issues, and ensure good communication

  • Generate and present written reports concerning projects status

  • Complete and maintain documents related to customer contracts and complaints

  • Maximize gross profit of projects

  • Identifies potential budget overruns and initiates corrective actions to minimize cost

  • Administers letters of credit associated with the project when required

  • Maintain acceptable accounts receivable turns

YOU HAVE:

  • Certificates, licenses, and registrations: PMP or equivalent certification preferred but not required

  • Knowledge/Skills:Familiarity with overall electrical systems industry. Familiarity with managing commercial projects in the electric utility, power generation, or construction industry. Previous experience managing engineering, manufacturing, and installation of electrical systems preferred. Experience with international commercial contracts, Letters of Credit, and international shipping terms.

  • Education/Experience:At least 5 years previous experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Bachelor's Degree (in technical field or business) preferred.

  • Language Skills:Able to read, analyze, and interpret contracts and technical procedures. Able to write professional business correspondence and reports. Able to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from customers, groups of managers, or technical representatives.

  • Mathematical Skills:Able to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages. Able to draw and interpret graphs. Able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, decimals, and basic algebra and geometry to practical situations.

  • Reasoning Ability: Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where only limited standardization exists. Able to interpret a variety of technical instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Attendance Requirement:Regular attendance required during office hours and overtime as required. Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift.

  • Travel Requirement:Up to 25% travel (domestic and international), for customer/job site visits.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$69,200.00 - $128,600.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
