Associate Software Engineer

Kratos Communications is seeking a team-oriented software engineer to build software applications for our Service, Network and Device management products. We are looking for a self-sufficient software engineer who can work productively within a fast-paced engineering team. A good candidate will have the adaptability to work full stack but primarily focusing on RESTful client and server development.

Experience in Agile software development methodologies is preferred. Applicants must be able to decompose user stories into engineering tasks and provide accurate time estimates. They will participate in agile sprint planning as well as develop automated tests and initial documentation of development work. 15% domestic travel may be required for this position; typical travel assignments would be 3-5 days.

• Software development in Java
• Scripting in Python
• Minimum education level needed: B.A. or B.S. in computer science, or equivalent experience
• Minimum ofi6 months or more of job-related experience
• Sound fundamentals in data structures, algorithm development

Preferred Skills and Experience

• General knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Rancher
• Experience in designing and implementing REST APIis
• Some experience or exposure to PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of Angular development is a plus
• HTML5, CSS, SCSS, and JavaScript

• Working knowledge of AI in a software development environment

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $78,000-$118,000
